Yankee Lady Inn - A Seacoast Village Bed & Breakfast
The Yankee Lady Inn is a beautifully maintained 15 room Victorian house built in the coastal village of Bar Harbor, Maine. Our lovely bed and breakfast is within walking distance of shops and restaurants, bike and kayak rentals, Bar Island, and a shuttle bus to Acadia National Park.
Breakfast is served every morning to guests in the dining room downstairs. A front room parlor is available for guest use and a back porch may be used for bicycle storage.
Our gracious Victorian was built in 1898 for Angus MacDonald, the 1st Congregational minister in the village. Hostess and owner, June Chaplin, is recent author of The Native Rock, a geology guide that compares Mount Desert Island with Plato's description of Atlantis. She is also a Maine native whose family dates to 1763 on Mount Desert Island. June also enjoys gardening and watercolor painting.
